Double Awesome
(Original Post)
So tonight at The Starz Filmcenter they're playing The Burning in all it's uncut 35mm glory and then tomorrow The Esquire is playing They Live in a brand new gorgeous 35mm print! I know this affects noone outside of the Denver metro area but I'm really stoked about this weekend's movies (and if you do live in Denver you'd better be out watchin awesome movies this weekend!). We usually get one good night a week for horror or sci-fi but two in a row? That's something to put up a pointless thread about! ![]() (feel free to let this one sink) (Amended post to make thread conducive to conversation) So do you guys have any cool movie nights in your towns? What's the coolest retro thing you've gotten to see in the theaters? Any rad stuff coming soon to your local indie theater? (still feel free to let this one sink of course)

It would be pretty awesome to watch The Burning on 35mm. For a movie like that, the grimier the print the better, too!
Let us know how it turns out.

April's was supposed to be "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors", but unfortunately I have to postpone it and replace it with another flick because they just pulled the rights in the last week for the original and all the sequels until the remake is out of theatres... which especially sucks because I had everything lined up months ago and already put some money into it for promotion... but that's the major studios for you. So I'm hoping that won't be too far off because I'm still gonna show it eventually. But anyway, past screenings have included The Evil Dead, Cannibal Holocaust, Troll 2, The Thing, Curtains, etc. etc. etc. http://www.badmonsterfilms.com (I haven't updated the site yet since the whole ANOES3 debacle, and still gotta finish a few pages on it)

When you do screen it you should try to get a hold of the Dokken music video and play that after the credits for a little bonus

Pretty amazing showing tonight. Print was OLD and they played a trailer for Sleepaway Camp. Good times for sure. Next week they're doing Night of the Comet and then funny enough Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is going to be playing in May
![]() Tomorrow is They Live at The Esquire though... VERY stoked for that long ass fight scene on the big screen!
