Mine shipped from Amazon earlier, due to arrive on Tuesday! I literally can't wait for this baby to get here.

I bought mine today from a local record shop. Guy at the counter gave me all sorts of funny looks. I also got the Dawn of the dead box set for $10 used. Really looking forward to watching Prowler in high definition.

I just watched this on Blu-Ray last night, I had not seen it in many years and initially had lukewarm feelings about it.
Upon revision though I think I can easily place it in my top three slasher films, alongside Halloween and The Burning. Sure the gore is abundant, but there are some really well executed suspenseful scenes as well.
The killer's get-up is pretty intimidating as well, reminded me of the miner's outfit in My Bloody Valentine in terms of the level of menace. Certainly a more effective killer that those found in films like He Knows You're Alone.
Joe Zito had a real flair for the slasher genre, I think, as Part IV in the Friday franchise is easily one of the more watchable ones as well.

I really like this one as well, it's a shame we are in the minority. Many find it too slow, to me that adds to the suspense.

Yeah, I like it as well. And together with "My Bloody Valentine" and "The Burning" one of my favorite slashers from the golden age of the genre.

This has some of Savini's most realistic effects too. The girl in the shower(you can even hear the pitch fork hit the tiles as they pass through her!!) and the throat slashing in the swimming pool. Great audio commentary on this Blu too.

One of my favorite slashers for sure. I watched the Blu as soon as it came out and feel I'm already due for another viewing.

This is one gorgeous looking blu-ray. It's almost like watching an actual film print in the theater. Definitely worth the upgrade, and one of my favorite blu-rays in my collection.
