Thanks guys. That's very encouraging. As for the commercials, I went the DVR route. So I'll be buzzing through them.

I thought thought the season opener was a bore. More like Talking Dead. Overrated. Dead Set was far more exciting and had the dignity to finish before they had to stretch it out. My opinion.

I thought it was a great start and a shocking moment that came out of nowhere was expertly timed. The television shows I watched afterwards seemed very dull by comparison.

Yeah, after the first two episodes of season one, the show turned into a boring drama with dull characters I donīt cara anything about. This season seem to be the same.
Less drama, more exciting zombie mayhem and how about bringing in some INTERESTING characters? Michael Rooker, please come back! I wish they were trapped in the big city, where things was more interesting and exciting, instead of all this boring wandering around in the countryside. But I guess itīs a budget reason.

I enjoyed the season premiere well enough, but I'm really enjoying American Horror Story much more.

I thought the episode was alright it was alittle bit of a let down considering all the hype. Is it just me or did the kids really annoy the crap out of ya?

I enjoyed the first episode. Commericals were a bit much in the second half.

For me, Lori and the "best friend" can't die fast enough. I hate both of their faces, especially Lori with her psycho Bachmann eyeballs. Who the fuck would want to marry her? She looks like she came straight out of Innsmouth. Blech!

The zombie action is great. I enjoyed the premiere whenever the zombies were onscreen. When everyone hid under the cars and the zombies stumbled by? Fine television! I mean, it went on for quite a long time and yet I was riveted. Then, we get a very uneven, drawn-out search for one girl in the woods. Felt like forever. They need to focus less on the character motivation and emotions and stick with the terror. The writers aren't capable of otherwise.
The opening monologue/voiceover was a total bore, not to mention hammy, thanks to the lead's delivery. He's so twitchy, it's distracting. For me, the problem with this show is that outside of the stellar zombie dread and effects, the rest falls flat. The actors are average and the writing is average at best. |

It was ok, but I found myself looking at the clock in the last quarter of the episode. The premiere got a lot of praise from critics since it was all about the situations, moral dilemmas and characters created in an apocalypse state rather than just regular zombie action, which I think it the correct route the writers should keep going, since we've seen every situation a zombie breakout could produce so there's nothing original to be created in zombie world.
Now, I'm not the only one wondering
