Awesome! I never got the special edition DVD they released a few years ago so I'll be snatching this up super quick as long as it has all of the special features that the DVD did.

Now, I'm just waiting for Frank Frazetta & Ralph Bakshi's Fire & Ice, and Ralph Bakshi's Wizards to come out of BluRay

Man there have been some surprises on BD so far! This, Galaxy of Terror and Loose Screws have to be some of the strangest (but coolest) titles to appear on hi-def disc this year.

Yup, I've had it on pre-order for the last few weeks.

Just a heads-up that Amazon currently has it for pre-order at just $12.49 - which is the cheapest I've yet seen anywhere. That's 58% off the SRP.

Amazon pre-order prices often fluctuate, so that may very well be just a temporary price for now.

Bakshi's Wizards is out on Blu-ray. It's a UK release, but it's region-free.

From what I have read, the Blu-ray of Rock & Rule will be missing some of the supplements from the Limited 2 Disc which was released a few years ago. You may want to confirm before purchasing.

From Stephen at Unearthed -
"Were about to release a Blue Ray version of Rock and Rule. With that said, hopefully, we can make our money back. The reason I am putting these gems on eBay is because the Blue Ray edition IS NOT going to have all the extra's this version has. This version has the alternate version of the film. The Blue Ray won't. The alternate version is not high def and two films cannot fit onto the blue ray disc we have planned. So this version is hte only version where you can see the alternate version in it's entirety. It also has a picture gallery that won't be on the blue ray as well. "

Yep, I got the Wizards Blu-ray the other week in fact. It is indeed region-free and everything from the old DVD is included, along with an isolated music score track which the DVD lacked.

No big surprise there really. I doubt that I'd watch the alternate workprint version again, but for $12.49 I still want this classic in HD. I'll gladly keep the original 2-disc DVD too...which has pretty cool packaging anyway.

I put in a pre-order on amazon, along with the Night Of The Demons remake.

I noticed this is $12.99 on Best Buy as well, but they have the SRP at $14.99. Best Buy is the only site that shows this SRP, it is $29.99 everywhere else.

Maybe amazon price matched a possible goof from Best Buy, or maybe the studio decided on a lower SRP because they couldn't get the workprint version on the disc?

It looks like the SRP may have been lowered. Barnes & Noble also now shows the SRP as $14.99 and also are selling it cheaper.

Regardless of the SRP situation, it's a great deal at that price.

I've never seen the movie, so it's a blind buy for me, but I couldn't turn down a $9.89 pre-order price at Sears.com for a niche movie like this. I hope the transfer is good. Is this Unearthed Films first blu-ray?

Hmm, interestingly the price of the Blu-ray has now jumped back UP in price.

It's currently $19.99 at Amazon and $25.64 at Barnes & Noble, who both had it listed for under $11 recently.

I'm glad I got my pre-order in at $10.99 now!

I believe this was an error from one or more distributors. For a short while, at least one major US distributor had this marked at a very low price (can't remember if they had the wrong SRP listed, or if just the sale price was wrong), and retailers adjusted their prices according to this.

EDIT: I just noticed it was marked with a SRP of $14.99 earlier, so may have been an error on Unearthed Films' side.

Glad I got my pre-order in when I did. I think it was $12.49 when I ordered it, but with the pre-order price guarantee it is currently at $10.99.

I ordered it with the Night Of The Demons blu-ray, which has also dropped to $14.99.
