"The long-awaited U.S. DVD and Blu-ray debut of Alejandro Jodorowsky’s hallucinatory horror film SANTA SANGRE is set for January 25 from Severin Films via MPI Media Group. We first reported on it here, and now the complete specs have come in.

Both the two-DVD set and the Blu-ray will sport restored widescreen transfers of the film’s uncut European edition, and the supplements are:

• Audio commentary by Jodorowsky and journalist Alan Jones

• Deleted scenes with Jodorowsky commentary

Severin posted this on Twitter about a half hour ago: "Any1 curious about Amazon temp. out of stock on SANTA SANGRE: They received their stock shipment a bit late, orders should ship this week"

Yep, mine shipped today and will be arrive tomorrow. Amazon shipped it out via free UPS overnight. I love Prime!

I received mine earlier today:

The package itself is a standard HD Slim case with a Slip Cover/O-Ring.

The HD transfer looks pretty good. It's not one of the best I've seen, but it still looks quite nice. The colors appear a little faded and the detail is somewhat soft at times, but those are minor quibbles.

The audio is lossless DTS Master Audio 2.0 Stereo and sounds quite clear.

The disc is packed with hours and hours of special features that would surely satisfy anyone out there. I can't see any complaints there.

It's definitely a solid Blu-ray from Severin and a recommended buy.

I wish mine would ship. It keeps hopping back and forth between "Shipping Soon" and "Not Yet Shipped." What gives? Either you have it in stock or you don't.
