I'd rather see him win or lose on the strength of an original film than stay on the remake path.Too much baggage.I wish him well.

Count me in! I too love witch-related horror and the occult, so would love to see what comes of this!
Rob's original material films are great, so I have faith that Lords of Salem could be entertaining at the least.

I'm give this a chance provided that it doesn't involve hillbillies, rednecks or his wife. I've stated on here before that I was a huge fan of White Zombie, as well as his first two solo albums. I loathe the last two albums as well as every film he's directed (won't watch H2). To me, his talent peaked here:

I like Rob Zombie as a Director, he definitely has talent and knows how to create tension in a scene. That being said, I think he's made some bad decisions choosing what movies to make (remaking Halloween) and his writing is atrocious! I would love to see what he would do with someone elses' script, and preferably a fresh batch of faces, instead of his wife and friends. It has all become stale after 4 films.
As cool an idea this is, I don't have much faith considering he mentions that he will be writing and casting this with no interference, which means redneck witches with one of them being his wife. One day we will see a great Rob Zombie movie, but unfortunately I don't think this will be it. |

I also like Zombie. Glad to see it will be an original film in what has become a really slow few years for horror.

So far I liked everything that Zombie has directed so I'm looking forward to his new movie. That poster looks great, too.

I will definitely be seeing this. I have both loved (House and Rejects), hated (Halloween) and come somewhere in the middle (Halloween 2) Zombie's movies, and I think this has the potential to be one of the good ones.
