Looks like The Secret of Dorian Gray is slated for 4/12, I'm curious about that one as there doesn't seem to be much out there on it.

Here's a review of the Di Leo Boxset:
http://10kbullets.com/reviews/b/fern...s-of-the-city/

Seem to me they're just ports. "Rulers .." again isn't Anamorphic, which is something you'd expect this time around.
Still it's a bargain, so anyone interested, check these out! You won't be disappointed!

SHIT! I need to double dip now!
Here's the review for Deodato's Live Like a Cop On Raro USA:

http://10kbullets.com/reviews/l/live...-like-a-man-2/

Quote:
This is a brand new transfer from Raro Video, who now present the film in an anamorphic widescreen (their previous DVD released was non anamorphic / letterboxed widescreen). The source material used for this transfer is in superb shape. Colors look vibrant, flesh tones look accurate and black levels look consistently good throughout. Details look sharp and there are no problems with compression.
Quote:
It should be noted that the problems with English audio from Raro Video’s previous DVD release have been corrected for this release. Also included with this release are removable English subtitles that are easy to follow and error free. It should also be noted that these do not appear to be ‘dubtitles’ and that they are direct translation of the Italian dialog.
Great news! And a great movie as well!

If you are Blu, you may want to wait. It is coming to Blu-ray next year. Confirmed from a poster at Avmaniacs who emailed Raro.

Here's a recent review for that one:
http://10kbullets.com/reviews/s/secr...rian-grey-the/

Please note that there might be defective discs ouyt there. The first batch froze after 20 minutes or so. they were called back, but there might be some around. amazon is safe though.

No, I'm not Blu compatible. Won't be for a long time I think...

But man, look at the difference already for Live like a Cop:

Nah, it's not the same shot, don't worry I just meant the colors and clarity of the US DVD.

Thanks for that bit of info! I'm going to hold out on upgrading from my non-anamorphic version until the Blu ray is released. Kind of pissed I picked up that version now, but at that point I really didn't think it would ever get a region 1 release.

I'm waiting for when Murder Obsession comes out. As a retro slasher completist, it's a must have. And no, it's not a giallo! XD

For those who don't have it already, Raro's Fernando Di Leo Italian Crime blu ray set (including the awesome ITALIAN CONNECTION, MILAN CALIBRE 9, THE BOSS and MR. SCARFACE) is now $12.99 on Amazon. A helluva deal -- I paid twice that for the set a year ago, not to mention the DVD set I bought a few months prior...

So, whatever happened to a blu-ray coming for Live Like A Cop Die Like A Man? I have interesest in buying the DVD, but would rather have it on blu-ray.

The company just signed a new distribution deal through Kino, so new announcements are coming soon. SHOOT FIRST, DIE LATER will be the first out of the gate in May.
