I fell to just under 75, it looks like. As I've gotten older, the # of films I get to watch has inversely followed.
I still love discovering gems thanks to discussions on here, and I try--I try!--to make the time for more (main problem: sleep). Here's to more than 75 in 2011! |

Last year was between 150 - 160. Life keeps getting busier, not to mention I get wrapped up in baseball for a large portion of the year.

Rough guess, looking at my tracker I'd have to say close to 400 if not more.

2009: 355
2010: 440 and I think I watched a lot more TV on DVD in 2010 as well. Not exactly sure why I've had more time for movies/tv shows except that I was on the computer less and I guess my old(-ish) age is finally getting to me.

I put 10-49---it could possibly be in the 50-99 range, but I'd guess not very far into it.
It's not that I'm busy, I actually have a lot of time on my hands these days [haven't worked in a while] but I just don't feel like watching movies all that much. My wife and I will sometimes watch one on the weekends, but that's about it.

I watched 125, which dipped from 147 in 2009 and 262 in 2008. Not bad, I guess, considering I moved into a new home and worked a lot of overtime last year, in addition to spending more time on video games. This year I guess I'll set the bar for 100...but I'm running out of slashers to watch and most new movies just don't interest me. Back to old foreign films, I guess!

498! fucking 498! 2 away from 500! dammit! i had a couple of hour-long universal classic horror movies from the 40's that i was gonna check out on new years eve, but i got sidelined by house-painting and then relatives. oh well. its still a big jump from 365 last year (i made my goal that time, one movie per day).

well, don't be too quick to be envious. the only reason i was able to watch so many was because i was unemployed over the summer and stayed home the whole time out of a desire to conserve funds - hence, 4-5 movies a day was pretty standard. its a bit of a trade-off. with any luck i WON'T have that much free time this year. still, 500 flicks in one year would have been a nice milestone. oh well, guess it'll always be the one that got away. And Kolpitz, you slacker, where was the push to reach 600?! a little effort would have been nice, sheesh! |

Ha ha, I think 70-ish is about tops for me at this point. I was pretty surprised by Attack the Block and Tucker & Dale but completely underwhelmed by Insidious. Resident Evil: Afterlife and The Expendables, all of which disappointed in the cheese department; Hobo with a Shotgun delivered on its title and promised cheese, though, while (in non-horror viewings) Fubar II ruled. A few effective dramas like Martha Marcy May Marlene and Contagion, kept me thinking of them at odd times, but the Archer television show was probably my best find. Great jokes, very funny action--excellent voiceovers. It was a much more memorable year in viewing films than 2010, but see ya! Onto 2012. Last edited by Workshed; 01-11-2012 at 06:18 AM. |
