If EB ever does release Hell on Earth on Blu-ray, they'd better use a better transfer. Their DVD transfer of Hell on Earth is far worse than Paramount's old DVD release.

i dont think hell on earth will come to blu-ray same goes for COTC II final sacrifice

1. because doesnt paramount still own it hence why echo bridge released a low quality laserdisc transfer

2. the picture quality of echo bridge dvd is atrocious

3.hell on earth easily to most popular and best of echo bridge owned hellraiser films hence it would be on blu already wouldnt it?

Nope, Paramount hasn't had the licensing rights for quite a while now.

Paramount must be pissed off about something though. Try searching for "Hellraiser" on their website, and it'll come back as jerk in the top search bar.

I broke down and bought the Hellraiser 4-film Blu-ray at Wally World the other night for $10.

I've compared the movie file sizes for Hellraiser: Bloodline and Hellraiser: Inferno to the older double-feature Blu-ray, and the sizes for both of those films are EXACTLY identical on both Blu-ray releases. So, I'll just sell off that old double-feature Blu-ray...which was cheaply bought to begin with.

The case felt like a single disc to me, is it a double-sided dual layer or 2-side single layer, or 2 discs somehow? Alomst broke for the From Dusk Till Dawn one, but don't care for the sequels much and probably will never watch FTB again, even though it is good for a doc. Children of the Corn was looking tempting too, but I wanted to see some reviews as I might just get the full dvd set of sequels if the BD's aren't much better.

It's one disc, dual-layered at 46gb in total size.

Oddly, the case was an older-style "Elite" Blu-ray case, none of that thinner Eco cut-out crap.

Broke down and ordered The Prophecy on blu, even though I'm sure within a few months there will be a 2 pack, followed by a 4 or 5 pack, but I really only love the first film, the rest are fine on dvd, even if 2 isn't anamorphic.

Haven't got a chance to watch it yet, but anything has to be better than that 12 year old non-anamorphic dvd. I did pop it in for a few minutes to be sure it was correct ratio (it is 2.35). Most scenes looked a bit rough, but a shot or 2 here and there shined. Not a great release the movie deserves, but looks to be worth the bargin bin prices until a better one comes in 10-15 years. Now where's Ravenous (hopefully not with EB, think Fox still has it)?

I hope it looks good, Prophecy is one of my favorites & it would suck if EB half-assed it.

There were a couple in other countries, but nothing in the US or Canada.

Prophecy is frustrating on BD. Frustrating because from time to time it looks great, then the next scene looks like you're watching through a screendoor or some other vision hampering shit. I liken it to Predator in being all over the place and not consistant. It's still a huge leap up from the non-anamorphic dvd, but so much less than the film deserves or what could've been. Worth the $10 or less you should be able to find the disc at, but not more than that.

Figures. Thanks for the heads up. I'll wait until it drops to $4.99.

^ Roadracers? The one with David Arquette and Salma Hayek?

I would buy that. I enjoyed the entire Rebel Highway series. Interesting choice for blu-ray though. Maybe they could do all of the Rebel Highway movies split into two collections. It is strange that they are only releasing this one.

It'd also be nice if the Echo Bridge discs had a lower SRP. $9.99 like the Mill Creek releases sounds about right. Given the quality that goes into them, that is about all they are worth.

Good news about the Halloween: Resurrection Blu; it will be in it's correct 2.35:1 AR. But that's not all!:

See post #79. If I ever spot this, I'm picking this up!
