I've always liked it, simply because I was a huge fan of Shari Shattuck. The basic plot is very similar to Killer Workout (a.k.a. Aerobicide) if you're familiar with that one.

I have the old Unrated VHS and also the Dragon R2 (PAL) DVD under it's alternate title Witch Bitch, which is also the unrated cut.

the Japan Shock disc is also unrated and is probably the same as the Dragon release, though beware, image quality = fullscreen VHS

Get the VHS, that is the best looking print out there. I've had both R2 DVDs and they are crap. The best DVD is existance is the DVD-R I made from the VHS.

Spoiler:
the killer is a spirit that posesses a certain member of the staff

Death Spa has a supernatural slant, but the whole "murders in the gym/studio" theme is there.

The Dragon R2 has a somewhat dark transfer. After I initially altered the brightness/contrast it looked about similar to a VHS.

There's also another Swedish or Dutch DVD out there as well, but I don't have a clue as to its quality.

Finally saw this sucker - it was alright, but it doesn't compare to KILLER WORKOUT (AEROBICIDE) or even FATAL GAMES and MURDEROCK. My main gripe with it is that the plot is really melodramatic, there isn't much fun to be had, none of those goofy asides or honest bits of character that you usually see in slashers. Not even much cheese, and that's saying a lot with all the aerobics scenes throughout. The "Witch Bitch" at the end was also pretty lame - zero personality, just one ravaging buzz kill. That said, some of the kills were nicely sappy, and just seeing Ken Foree randomly show up every other scene was awesome. He had a mustache, too. To complete his trifecta of awesomeness, he also has that amazing scene where he challenges a guy to a swim race and then cheap shots him before moving ahead. The movie is pretty well shot, and initially the cinematography and the Foree is what kept me interested, but by the end of the short runtime I was pretty stoic. Passable, but doesn't hold a candle to the shaved head, burned booby craziness of KILLER WORKOUT.
