Opps, it really did fool me and looks very similar to many movies that were 3D in how it was shot (stuff I mentioned in previous post). It looks like maybe they shot it that way then abandoned the idea? But looking around the web now I see nothing about it ever being 3D, except bad reviews of that MOD disc.

I swear though, watch Scacrecrows then watch Parasite or Jaws 3 and tell me it wasn't shot with 3D at least in mind. I stand by my fuck-up! I admit it was a fuck-up, but with good reason.

Nice. I've only ever seen Killdozer in a dark and crappy fullscreen transfer that looks like it was recorded on a VCR is the 70's.

It looks like it's already on Amazon, but I'm almost leery of ordering any more M.O.D.'s through them since the Drive-in fiasco.

Well, this IS a TV movie from 1974 - you probably saw it in it's appropriate condition. I wonder if any clean-up work was done for this MOD. Ugh, who am I kidding?

Surely the MOD transfer will be better than the transfer I saw. It looks like a 10th generation EP-mode dub, and everything was so dark that it was hard to make out anything of detail.

I've only seen a bad vhs copy of Killdozer once. Such a cool movie though that I would be happy to revisit!

Man...Killdozer deserves a better treatment....what the fuck am I saying, most of these MOD titles deserve better.

Seems like most made-for-TV movies get the shaft, which is extremely sad since many of them are better than a lot of theatrical efforts.

Dark Night Of The Scarecrow is the only one that came to mind that received the royal treatment.

I'd just like to see it in watchable quality. I've seen it yes, but when the transfer is so bad...it's kinda tough to fully enjoy something. But even having seen it in such bad condition before, I loved the movie.

Definitely, but unfortunately such lesser titles as this from major studios are being increasingly relegated to the MOD method of sale.

I just ordered it, since it dropped to $15.98 on Amazon. I've never seen these Vault releases ever drop below about $15. I should have it on Tuesday...

Shawn via the DVD News Flash Facebook reports that the MGM MOD program is on hold for the time being:

"Okay, there seems to be a miscommunication to what ThinkJam told me about the program. Here's what they initially said, "No, actually the MGM MOD program is on hold for the time being." What they meant to tell me, which they just clarified just now, "was our distribution of copies to the press is just on hold at the moment."

So, the program is alive and well."
