It just occurred to me that a blow your mind extra would be the taped rehearsal of Re-Animator: The Musical. I saw most of it at a convention last year but missed the end of it. I would just about kill to have that.
Gordon seemed mindful of the poor video quality and may still be trying to get it produced so it's probably not going to happen. Still, I would just about kill to have a copy of that.

Does anyone know if Anchor Bay still holds the rights to Bride Of Re-Animator as well?

It was released on DVD by Pioneer in 1999, and then later re-released (minus the extra features) by Artisan in 2003.

So Lionsgate may hold the rights then. Would be nice if they released the sequel around the time the original comes out on BD.

I've been kicking myself for not grabbing a copy of that Pioneer SE of Bride when I had the chance. As for the original, Elite Entertainment seems to be back in business - they're allegedly releasing Deadly Spawn on Blu sometime this year so I'm willing to bet it's them who are doing ReAnimator. It's either them or Full Moon since the film was an Empire Pictures production.

Full Moon doesn't really hold the rights to many of the Empire Pictures films at all. MGM owns the rights for the bulk of the Empire catalog now, and have released quite a few on DVD. Elite Entertainment would have to regain the licensing rights to release Re-Animator now. They had the rights once and then lost it to Anchor Bay. Who holds the rights now is anyone's guess...
