Companies Cooperating

I was thinking about the few recetnt incidences of companies cooperating on Box Sets (The recent Halloween box set being a prime example with SHOUT and ANCHOR BAY teaming up) and wondering what other sets we could get if this happened more often. Though not an example of companies cooperating... I would NEVER think to buy a Leprechaun movie, but a Leprechaun box set intrigues me and satisfies my OCD.

What series would benefit by companies cooperating?

My vote is Criterion, Shout and… ?... for a SCANNERS set Including Criterion's SCANNERS, Shout's SCANNERS II & III and get the rights for a double-feature disc of SCANNER COP and SCANNERS: THE SHOWDOWN.

Other suggestions?

Hellraiser would be nice. The original Romero zombie trilogy (which was done by Anchor Bay in Europe on DVD several years ago) would also be great on blu-ray.

Hellraiser isn't unreasonable, just Anchor Bay and Dimension, I believe.

I just wonder if there is enough interest in these films anymore.

I would love a PHANTASM set! HELLRAISER would be okay but it would have to be really cheap for me to buy, considering how much I dislike most of them.

True, but no one was calling for Halloween: Ressurection either.

I feel like a Phantasm box is on the horizon as well.

I'd love to see the rest of the "Prom Night" series come to Blu - maybe Synapse could team with Scream Factory.

A "Silent Night, Deadly Night" box would be awesome as well.

I'd buy both.

I own the German Blu box set of Scanners (1, 2, 3) but yeah, Scanner Cop & Scanners: Showdown would've been a neat addition.

you know something we don't?

A Phantasm set makes sense, considering the feverish anticipation for the upcoming sequel. Coscarelli is purported to own the rights to the series except for II, I think, so that widens the possibility. He probably gets asked a million times a day when the rest of the films will see blu-ray so, yeah, it's just a matter of time.

A series I'd like to see a complete box set of are the Amityville films (after the 3rd film, of course). I think they're all owned by Lionsgate through Vidmark if I'm not mistaken. Films are pretty crappy but I would still love to collect them.

I'm a huge Amityville fan but I haven't seen any beyond part 3 (though I've read a lot of the books). Oddly, some of them, Like Amityville Dollhouse, are very hard to find. I would welcome them, though they would have even less of demand in the world than the Hellraiser sequels. Still… if the other Amityville sequels showed up in a companion box, I'd be interested.

I think there are two more sequels coming soon, Amityville: The Awakening and Amityville Death House although the latter may not be an "official" entry in the series judging by the trailer.
