Post Cronenberg's The Brood

I was just looking though the New Concorde web site, and noticed that in their library section, they have The Brood listed, so I guess that means they have the rights to it.

Last year, they released Cronenberg's Rabid on DVD, so it would be pretty nice if The Brood got a release sometime this year. They have a snail mail email address on the site, but no email address to contact them on. Anyone know of any email contact for them? I might bite the bullet and snail mail them when I get back to work (I don't have a printer here )

I would have thought they would have tried to cash in on the Gladiator hype, as Oliver Reed was in both films...

Let's hope they do a great movie justice on DVD...my favorite Cronenberg film and one of the best horror movies in the past 25 years!

I hope they do a better job with it than they did on Rabid. It's a horrible transfer.

A horrible transfer? What exactly was wrong with Rabid? I thought it was a pretty good transfer. It showed up nicely the fact that they didn't clean the mylar for the title boards on the opening credits sequence. I didn't see any mpeg artifacts, the colours looked right... Hell, if the Brood is as good as that, I'll be pretty pleased.

So what exactly didn't you like about it?

Heaven17 - yeah I know - I was the first person to post that information on the forum... That is not the Japanese cover you posted...

But the price is way too high to pay for a film without knowing what the transfer is like. 4700 yen (about US$47) was about the cheapest I could find it in Japan when I was there (including sales tax).
