Got my replacement disc today - came in a jewel case, double packaged/enveloped. Sounds great and a super quick turnaround from Universal - 1 week!

So, with the news about the Shout Factory Special Edition of Halloween III: Season of the Witch... I'm wondering if they are likely to also do a special edition of Halloween II... and if so, I am considering holding off on purchasing this version.

Though I suppose this one would still be worth it for Terror in the Aisles alone, and there's no guarantee of a Shout Factory version of 2. Just came to mind when I heard they were working on Season of the Witch.

That's actually a damn good point.

Terror in the Aisles is actually the reason I bought this disc. Don't care for H2, but like everyone else, didn't ever think Terror would see the light of day.

Not that it's a dealbreaker or anything, but what's up with the lack of original trailers on these blu rays? I've watched three in the last week or so (or sampled them at least) and none of them had trailers on them. Of all the extras on DVDs and blu, I would have thought that would have been the first? I like to see how movies are marketed, esp. seeing as I see so few films theatrically these days. (Not by choice, I just don't get the opportunity.) Takes me back to my VHS days and the assortment of trailers on them were often better than the crap I was about to witness!

Amen brother. I'm a big fan of Zach Snyder's films, and not one blu-ray of his films contains the films trailer. The teaser trailers for Watchmen and Sucker Punch are amazing. Oh well.

Now that Shout Factory version is coming out, I wonder if the Universal version with Terror in the Aisles will go out of print?

Not necessarily. Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas and Dazed and Confused got Criterion releases and the Universal Blus are still in print.
