They Live, Demon Knight + Day of the Dead. Re-released?

Any info on when They Live, Demon Knight and Day of the Dead(really needs a SE) will be released again?

Re: They Live, Demon Knight + Day of the Dead. Re-released?

As to my knowledge, Day of the Dead is not OOP. I bought it a few (about 2 1/2 months) months ago at Suncoast. They Live I not sure I have ever seen that and you type of Demon Night. Are you talking about the Tales From the Crypt Demon Night (which needs a DVD release)?

Is the Day disc as bad as I've heard?

"DAY OF THE DEAD" has a pretty decent transfer. Considering its low budget and lowlight shooting conditions, the film really doesn't look all that bad. Hopefully some day it will receive an anamorphic transfer. The film grain present IS a direct result of the stock used and the film's overall low budget. Romero really knows how to squeeze every last penny out of his budgets, but the underground photography just falls short of any real clarity. A SE would be nice some day, but until then the current edition will have to do. All things considered, Anchor Bay has produced a competent DVD for this gem of a film.

Oh I typed that wrong, sorry. Yes, Tales from the Crypt Demon Night. I haven't seen them for a while.

Day of the Dead really needs a reissue. I figured with Dawn coming, this shouldn't be too far behind. The only place I see them now is Suncoast for $30.

i hope Day gets a Special Edition treatment. It'd be nice to have a SP ED version of all 3 films. With Elite releasing a 2 disc version of NIGHT, AB releasing a 3 disc version of Dawn, it'd be great to have a 2 Disc version of Day!

A Special Edition of They Live is in the works from Universal.

Actually, the spelling of Demon Knight was right the first time you wrote it. Unless you are speaking of an episode of the show (can't remember a tales from the crypt episode called Demon Night though) as opposed to the movie.

Demon Knight is out on dvd, but it's been discontiued. They still have copies at all the Borders book stores around here for $10. If you want, payapl me 10.60 + 3.50 shipping and I'll get it for ya.
All the copies of They Live and Prince of Darkness have disappeared appertly for good. Can't wait for that They Live SE! The disc now is good looking, but has nothing extra except 16:9 enhanced, same with Demon Knight.

Demon Knight, as well as Bordello of Blood, went out of print when Universal made Image stop releasing all their DVDs due to them selling them at prices too low for Universal's liking.

I heard the Image/Universal titles were licesned out a few years ago, and that license ran out around middle or early last year. Now all the titles are back with Universal to do what they want with. I'm sure some will come out as sweet new versions, and some will be gone (at least for a long time). The only other rumors I've heard was about the comm. track to They Live, from someone on dvdreview.com who didn't post bullshit. He said Carpenter himself mentioned it at a Ghost Of Mars preview screening he was at. Looks good for They Live at least, hope P.O.D. follows (not with Roddy though, maybe Coop will sit in on a comm.)
