Damn that was one thing I was kind of hoping to see. All the massive collections that people have. Oh well...i'll try to go in with lower expectations.

Just finished watching...in my opinion it broke no new ground and didn't really even scratch the surface of this hobby. I think if maybe they spent half as much time following some real vhs hunters as they did with some talking heads that proclaim themselves experts it would have been better. I appreciate it for what it showed but I was more interested in the people shown in the flea market bits than highway robber Chuck Band talking...I dunno.

You'd probably enjoy Adjust Your Tracking more. It focuses on the collectors as opposed to the history of the format. Of the two docs, I enjoyed AYT a little more.

aww the days of video rental stores. I knew of one around my way in 1982. one copy of everything, people waiting for hours for certain movies to return. Be kind rewind stickers, $100.00 memberships... and not much to choose from title wise..

I want to grab this, $35 with Shipping to Canada is a little steep though.

Eh... is this going to be just another overpriced DVD-R release?

Hellroller certainly was, even though they claimed it was a pressed disc!

...and when the hell is the release date? They don't even list it from what I can see.

They said they'll ship 3/8. And it better be a pressed disc!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say its DVD-R...They made a comment on FB that these are not limited when asked if they will sell out:

Adjust Your Tracking: The Untold Story of the VHS Collector we will keep having copies! i want anyone who wants to see it on dvd or on vhs to always be able to do so. the only thing that is limited is the pre-order 3rd bonus disc. those will only be available to people who order the big box before march 4th

I'm going to guess these are DVD-R's too, based on that. Hellroller certainly was, so what's to stop them now? I'll bet if they're asked they'll say they will be pressed discs...and they'll show up as DVD-R's.

I wish I did more research before I ordered because I bought Hellroller as well and I had no idea it was DVD-R. Oh well live and learn.

The only reason I bought Hellroller was because they said it was an actual pressed disc. Otherwise, I wouldn't have paid $20 for a DVD-R.
