Strange Paradise (1969 Canadian Horror Soap Opera)
Has anyone ever seen this Canadian soap opera? It's from the late 60s and some refer to it as a Dark Shadows clone while others say that it is it's own show. Personally I can't comment on that since I'm not that familiar with Dark Shadows but so far I've seen the first 140 (there are 194 or 195 in total) and I can say it's pretty entertaining, it's about a cursed family. Although it does have the typical crawling pace that is trademark to the soap opera it's pretty different from the ones I've seen because there is a lot of focus on the supernatural rather than things like relationships. There are three story arcs and the last one seems like it's going to be the best one and have a great twist on the whole rest of the series.
I first got interested in this when I randomly noticed someone selling the entire series on DVD-R on ebay for an insane $130, fortunately I found that all of the episodes were on youtube shortly after seeing this so I just watch them that way. It's definitely worth checking out, especially for free; here is episode 1: part 1, part 2. Anyone else seen and/or like this show? For me it's been quite the find, there's even a "lost episode" and 3 novelizations! More info on the show here.

I must confess I've never heard of this one though it sounds kinda neat.I watched DARK SHADOWS reruns as a kid and sometimes tuned into the stray ''supernatural'' later soaps like PORT CHARLES and PASSIONS but this Candian show had escaped me.Might have to check it out online.
