watched part 5 today, picture was nice good colors and so on , audio good enough. The new commentary was informative (both are present) worth the price? don't know really...

A slight upgrade , yes, but that's it. Didn't WOW me , didn't disappoint me

The misdirection regarding the H4 deleted scenes is disappointing. But I could forgive it if the transfer was top-notch. Sadly it doesn't look like we're getting that either--at least not with H4.

What a bummer. The Death Wish 2, 3, and 4 transfers look vastly superior. I was really hoping for that kind of quality for all of these films.

I'll still pick up H4 & H5 if the prices drop to the $10 range. But based on the screen grabs that I've seen I can't justify going higher.

Looks like Deep Discount is back to their old shipping habits. My blu-rays were shipped out on August 9th and tracking still says "Arrived at shipping partner facility Carson CA" and according to the lady at USPS it's not even in their posession yet, they just generated that tracking number when the label was printed and are still waiting to accept it to ship. Fucking Deep Discount. Never again. It's Amazon only for me from here on out.

I got a reply from Justin Beahm on Facebook regarding the H4 deleted scenes and he says that the original press release that mentioned it was an error and the scenes never excisted. I'll trust his judgement on that.

Anyone know if any brick and mortar stores are carrying these (like Walmart)?

Cool

I'm holding off on these AB Halloween 4 / 5 blu-rays. I'm certain they will be on the $10 rack at Wal-mart come October.

The only Myers BD I've pre-ordered is H2 directly from Shout! I did that to get the nurse's hat. My GF is into costuming, so she can replicate a higher-quality fabric version. Should go great w/ the new official H2 Myers mask for my trick or treat setup.

Wal-mart does carry Shout! discs, so I may be able to get H3 there for a good price in a month or two. I have all these movies on disc already, so It's a no-brainer for me to wait for better prices, esp. w/ Halloween fast approaching.

I got mine earlier today from Amazon.

If anyone overseas is still wondering, they are both Region "A" locked. The "A" icon appears on the back covers, and AnyDVD confirms it.

with anydvd and a blu ray burner making a region free copy ( for myself only) is easy. at least that's what I do. Almost all anchorbay are region locked, as well as shout so this is a must for my peace of mind. And regarding other posts from me (never ever going to buy an aB blu) I forgot mother's day from them coming soon so there will be more anchorbay blu's in my collection. Guess that makes me a liar:-)

Someone at the forums on blu-ray.com said that Wal-mart has the BDs of H4 & for $7.88 each in store, along with various other horror titles.
