Ronnie, I'm no tech expert but Blu-rays usually look better than HD broadcasts. If anyone has better knowledge of these things please chime in, but, yeah, that has been my experience. You said you saw it in HD on cable a few years back - chances are there's an even better transfer available now. Fingers crossed that that's what Sony is providing Twilight Time with.

What's the hold up with the '68 film? Why no Blu-tay yet?

As a general rule, HD broadcasts are usually in 1080i, unless it's sports events in which case it's in 720p because interlaced images causes motion blurring. Full 1080p requires more bandwidth than most cable and satellite providers can handle, so for the moment a properly mastered blu ray disc will always look better than what you'll see broadcasted.

That´s correct but it´s not the case with Subspecies...

I know, I know, we´re talking Troma here... and Twilight Time usually delivers solid transfers.

Twilight time preorders usually go up a month before release. Check back then.
