I never watched this one simply because none of the video stores I went to had it.
Glad Malone is giving it a legit release. Can't wait until DD starts shipping them. |

Those screenshots looks great
![]() Finally I can throw my bootleg of the Japanese Laserdisc into the trash. I wish we could get definitive info about if there WILL be a blu-ray or not.

So, I just learned all those who ordered TITAN FIND from Dark Delicacies will also get them autographed. You don't have to be at the signing to get it. Very cool. A collectible in the making. Wow, I was about to cancel my order today, but when I went to check the amount in my card, I found DD already took it out. Glad I didn't now.

Is there any sort of confirmation that a Blu is coming?

Yes, a blu is coming, eventually, and with Synapse on board, I'm sure this where it will come from.

So are Amazon links forthcoming or is Synapse stocking this in their store then?...or is Dark Delicacies still the only place to get this?

The DD mail order discs will come autographed by Bill Malone and Diane Salinger. Annette McCarthy is now scheduled to appear, not sure if her's will be included, too. Should think it would be.

I went ahead and ordered one from DD. I figure the autographs alone will make it worth a bit more...if I do ever want to sell/trade it off after the eventual Blu-ray comes out.

I hear ya. I got a review copy coming next week, I'm hoping that one is Malone signed, too, so when I get the other one, after the 16th, I can use the first as a trade. DD is holding the DVD's until AFTER the signing. So, they won't ship out until after then.

Just saw TITAN FIND (review copy arrived today) and here's what I wrote on my FB page. I'll talk more of it in my review:
Okay, I'll say the print used here (the answer print), for TITAN FIND is a bit dark. Had to boost the brightness up a tad to watch it. There is some minor print damage in a few scenes and some occasional crackling and popping in the audio, having said that this is 100% better looking than any full frame VHS or DVD boot you'll ever find. The 3-4 minutes of restored footage are character moments, small moments here and there, for the first half of the film. Which in my opinion make the film better. What I wasn't expecting was the removal of a line of dialogue and a scene that had always been there. Wait for my review to expound on that. One change I will mention here is at the end when Davison and Beth hear Perkin's echoing grunt, a sign the creature has gotten him, and then Davison stumbles upon the creature eating him. In this version, he doesn't grunt to give away something horrible has happened to him, he hollers, "DAVISON!!" instead. Restoration of gore is very, very minimal. Like seconds minimal. |

The removal of a scene/s and/or changing of dialogue is troubling. Sounds like Malone tinkered with this version, adding material but also removing some, so we're not actually getting exactly what we remember. The thing about the picture looking dark is something I hope will be corrected when the film hits Blu. The added clarity and resolution of the format should alleviate that issue (hopefully). Can't say I'm thrilled about the changes but at least it's finally coming out in widescreen.

Well, if you think about it, this is the version that was intended. Before it was edited he had an answer print made and had it stored away. I would say whomever edited it decided to add those scenes and cut others. While Malone's version had that piece of dialogue and that one scene cut but the others that were cut later on added.

It wouldn't be the first time a movie's been out there for years with a scene or edit that was never actually intended to be stuck in. I'm really not all that surprised by this.
Do the omissions hurt the fluidity of the film Shawn?
