Why not put the actual title on the thread... instead we will have to access the link to know what you´re talking about.

I really liked the movie. I thought it was totally cheesy. Back in University, I actually wrote a paper on Inseminoid, Planet of the Vampires, and Contamination discussing the artistic merrit of Alien ripoffs. Got myself an A+.

The movie has some cool gore scenes in it.

I just watched it a few weeks ago actually, and liked it for what it was. It's certainly no Alien, but it has a unique look to it.

I wish some studio would re-release it on R1 DVD/Blu-ray. The old Elite DVD is plain old letterbox.

I liked it, but I wanted more creature action instead of a crazed, possessed woman on a rampage flick.

Norman J. Warren directed it,he was in the tail end of the British horror cycle that sort of dried up in the 70's,did stuff like SATAN'S SLAVE and TERROR.Remember kind of getting a kick out of INSEMINOID,a weird mix of quirky bad taste and crazy fun.Fox considered suing over it as an ALIEN knockoff but ultimately decided it wasn't really all that similar so they never took any action. It used to pop up in edited form on USA UP ALL NIGHT.

I saw this in the movie theater when it was called Horror Planet, with my brother and our mom, and I have it on DVD as Inseminoid, and I think that I like it better now then in 1981. I really like the music score, and I think it actually is a pretty good movie. I might have to watch it again this weekend.

However i did happen to see through my travels on the tv guide listings for summer of 83 that showtime had it on a few times.. I remember seeing that edited version on U.S.A.

I too first saw this on USA in the 80s. It seemed to be on either Saturday Nightmares or Commander USA's Groovy Movies at least once a month. I seem to remember it playing drive-ins in my area as Horror Planet and it was paired with Slumber Party Massacre I believe. Like all Norman J. Warren movies, I really enjoyed it.

Well, since you brought it up, I took in another viewing of my copy just now and found that it is rather enjoyable. Definitely has blood and violence throughout. Never really found it to be boring at any part.

From the years of about 1978-1985, I pretty much was able to watch about every horror movie that graced the theaters, with the exception of The Shining, and this was because my mom was a horror fan, and me and my brother were able to go see all of them, at least one movie every weekend, but back then the ticket prices were much cheaper back than.
