Really looking forward to this as well. This is one of those films that I hated the first time I saw it (I was young, OK?) and have liked more and more every time I see it. I'm now at the point where I just have to accept that in my youth I may have had really bad taste.

I have to admit: I felt the same way when I saw it as a kid. Now it's one of my favorite films. God bless old age.

An essential release if ever there was one, Roman Polanski's ROSEMARY'S BABY (1968) hits blu, courtesy of The Criterion Collection! Rosemary (Mia Farrow) and Guy (John Cassavetes) are a relocating couple setting up house in a new apartment. Finding she's expectant, Rosemary's health soon turns for the worse, plaguing her with constant pain and discomfort. Her neighbors (including the great Ruth Gordon, in an Oscar-winning performance) seem more than willing to help, but gratitude gradually turns to distrust as their behavior appears more and more suspicious. Could there be a Satanic plot against her and her unborn child? Or is it all in her head?

A classic film finally given the respectful presentation it deserves, ROSEMARY'S BABY debuts in hi-def fully-loaded, including new interviews with Polanski, Farrow and producer Robert Evans, a feature-length documentary about composer Krzysztof Komeda, a radio interview with original novel author Ira Levin, and hopefully more! An easy contender for my Top Ten Discs of 2012 list.
