cheap looking doll, extremely "movie set" looking locations that are too atmospheric to be real, cookie cutter "pretty actors", yup looks like another modren, souless tossed out horror film.

They probably just licensed it from MGM. Warner did the same thing with the recent Mad Max Blu-ray set, 20th Century Fox did it with their Mel Brooks set, etc..

Sweet. Just saw the other thread for this. It sucks that 2 & 3 won't have any special features. Stupid Universal.

Watch this comes out, and everyone is going to love it and say it's the best one next to Child's Play.

Well it is straight to dvd. I think it's good most people are putting aside the fact that it looks a little cheap. Really though, I think it looks better than I ever expected for a straight to dvd release.

At least it looks scary. I wasn't a fan of the comedy sequels "Bride" or "Seed."

I thought Bride had just the right mix. Seed went too far with the comedy though.
It's definitely good to see this one will go the darker route.

It doesn't scream DTV like most DTV sequels do. It looks like a lot of care went into making it.

Plus a lot of the horror critics are digging it and reviews should be coming anytime now.

That's also true. I've heard people who've seen it say they really enjoyed it and Child's Play fans should love it. That's really great news.
