Thanks for the heads-up -- the pricing is low enough to bite, and it looks like they're doing separate issues for those who don't feel like upgrading from the old blu. Looks like they're reissuing the DVDs, too:

Yup, but I really have no choice there, since my old Puppet Master Blu-ray has rotted and will no longer even play in any player.

It's worth it for the new features though. Hopefully we get lossless audio with these now, but I wouldn't bet on it.

My procrastination actually paid off for once! I hadn't even heard about the "rot" issue; that's pretty screwed up -- especially considering this new disc apparently has additional extras? Some things never change.

I wonder if they'll be doing the same thing with the SUBSPECIES series?

88 Films also has listings up on Amazon for parts 2 and 3 of Puppet Master. I've got those on order. They're a little more pricey but I'm assuming I wont have to worry about rot. Plus it's likely they'll have one or two UK exclusives.

Definitely. With shipping included at Full Moon, we're talking a $20+ savings at Amazon on the Blu-ray set.

I went ahead and ordered the blu ray trilogy via the link provided above - it says 3 discs - but it does not mention the trilogy anywhere - so I hope I ordered the right thing - I assume just a misprint by Amazon?

Yeah, it's just a misprint. And once in a while when some stuff shows up on Amazon it'll say "DVD" when it's really the Blu-ray edition. You can usually tell by the price or release date. They always fix this kind of stuff later on.

Not sure exactly how promising the source material for ARCADE could be, but I've always wanted a better version than the current dvd. Good little guilty pleasure flick.

Agreed, I've always loved the film. The early 90's "cyberspace" movies were great fun. I'd love to see it hit Blu-ray, but I'm sure a lot of other FM will get the HD treatment first...
