Anyone know why Amazon now doesnt show it available to order (the blu Puppet Master collection) - I had pre-ordered it but now when I look up the item it just says to sign up to be notified of when it will be released? My pre-order still says it should ship on the 18th though- so hoping it still will.....

That just changed today on Amazon, because I looked at my pre-order just last night to cancel and it was still a valid item page. They did the same thing with the Evil Clergyman DVD listing recently.

I'm grabbing the UK Blus of 2 & 3 though, 88 Films did a great job on the presentation and disc content for the first film's Blu-ray...

yea I am kind of confused on what the difference is going to be - if I look at full moon directs site it doesnt say a whole lot about the US release - but the video clip shows 88 films - so is 88 films doing the US releases as well? Not sure if I should stick to the box set in the US or buy them seperate from the UK

Hopefully 88 Films are handling the US releases. I'm cautious to order any more Blu-rays direct from Full Moon, since the original has fallen victim to Blu-ray rot and won't even play now anymore.

Their UK Blu-ray of the original Puppet Master does have an exclusive 2nd commentary track.

I think it's obvious Full Moon is handling the US releases while 88Films handles the UK releases. Also, seeing is how Full Moon has "offcially" started their Blu-ray line, I have hope that the new discs won't have rot problems. I say "officially" cuz we all know Full Moon started putting out Blu-rays 2 years ago, but now this seems to be their official debut.

I'll bet anything the US Blus won't have the reversible covers or the collector's booklets like the UK Blus.

I'm also hesitant based on their sellsheet:



That is the same exact UPC code as the old Puppet Master Blu-ray... which doesn't make much sense if it's a new version with different content.

I can't find any sites (not even FM) that have any new pre-order listing for the 1st Blu-ray alone with a different UPC. It really sounds like the new "Remaster" disc is exclusive to the set...at least for now.

Some slightly bad news, the PM 1 disc in the box set will be the same 2010 disc according to Charles Band on Facebook:

"It's basically the same release as the 2010 version for PM1. The new PM 2 and PM 3 have the updated commentary and features!"

I feel robbed. I guess I'll have to look into getting the UK disc after all.

Also, if you're wondering what's the deal with Amazon pre-orders, Charles had this to say:
"The retail release will be later this year. They will all be available next week on fullmoondirect.com Sept 18th!"

Now I don't know what this means. Is the box set still scheduled for the 18th while the individual releases will be on Amazon later or is it for both?

Why does Full Moon even notify retailers these are going to be pre-orders? Easy, free advertisement on numerous retailers — and then cancel/delay them so you'll be forced to buy them at a higher price direct. They also did this recently with the Evil Clergyman DVD.

But thankfully, we have the UK option...

Just a quick update to let you know that we've pulled the 5.1 track from Puppet Master 2 Blu-ray and DVD as we're just not happy enough with it. The original stereo track is a far better listen and we think you'll be pleased with it. also a bit of good news in that we've added a DTS track to the Puppet Master 3 DVD. The blu-ray is in DTS-HD MA as normal.

Yea but they're not including it because it doesn't sound good. That's what makes 88Films a good studio. They actually care about what they're releasing.
