I never picked up the TCM2 DVD, so I'm looking forward to the Blu ray. Lifeforce would definitely be a welcome addition as well.

I was actually expecting LIFEFORCE to be announced with this batch -- maybe next year?
I went ahead and preordered all three; if I think JEEPERS CREEPERS sucks, I'm blaming you, Cpt. Hook! :-)

It's a candy-colored camp parade as the KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE make their way to blu ray from MGM. When a group of costumed aliens land on Earth in their big top spaceship, only a pair of teens can keep them from harvesting humans as an intergalactic food source. They try to convince the authorities, including Sheriff John Vernon, but who's going to believe their tales of popcorn-shooting guns, acidic cotton candy, lethal shadow puppets and more? Any child of the '80s should have fond memories of this one -- ostensibly a comedy, it's a pretty deranged, dementedly imaginative flick and its incessant cable play ensured a long life in pop culture bar trivia matches. All hail the Chiodos!

Texas chainsaw 2 is also region free, on a dual layer disc, good sound and picture. Nice details show, and the pic is clear

Turbine Germany/NSM Austria have just announced their Blu Ray release of TCM2. It will be a digipack like their release of part one. The design is also adjusted to part one and features the original artwork. Final line up of extras will be announced soon and the inclusion of the Region A disc's extras has already been confirmed in a forum some time ago. Release date is slated for Halloween.

TCM 2 looks really good on the Blu-ray. It has healthy film grainy, good colors and nice visible details. It's definitely a good upgrade over the DVD, but alas is missing the Stills Galleries.
Killer Klowns looks good, but it's not as big of an upgrade in HD. Details are somewhat soft and some of the scenes still appear pretty dark.

I have Killer Klowns on order. Man, I HATE it when they update covers for vintage films. They gave this one that tired-ass sepia/mono tone, scratched-up "Saw" appearance. It's actually misleading as it fails to capture the colorful camp of the film.
