New Miramax/Dimension Blu-ray Wave from Echo Bridge

New Miramax/Dimension Blu-ray Wave from Echo Bridge

Quote:
According to early retailer information, on May 10 Echo Bridge Home Entertainment will release on Blu-ray no fewer than seven movies from the Miramax/Dimension catalog: Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest, Dracula 2000, Equilibrium, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Hellraiser: Bloodline, Supercop and Texas Rangers. List price is $19.99. No disc details are available yet.
I went ahead and pre-ordered Hellraiser: Bloodline. I think I'll wait and see what the reviews say before I purchase any more of these...especially regarding the Halloween sequels vs. the Canadian Blu-ray.

I'm definitely waiting on reviews for these. I might also wait to see if they announce the rest of the franchise(s). I could potentially see them releasing cheaper double-features with the Children Of The Corn and Hellraiser sequels.

You don't have to wait long CPT Hook. According to amazon.com they are releasing double feature blurays on May 15th

It looks like they'll also be releasing quite a few Blu-ray double features on May 15th:

Children Of The Corn V: Fields Of Terror / Children Of The Corn 666: Isacc's Return Blu-ray

From Dusk Till Dawn / From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money Blu-ray

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers / Halloween: H20 Blu-ray

Hellraiser IV: Bloodline / Hellraiser V: Inferno Blu-ray

It would be nice if Curse of Michael Myers contained the Producer's Cut

Does anyone have the Canadian triple pack which also has Resurrection?

I'm fairly certain that all of Echo Bridge's current BD releases are region free. I don't expect that to change unless Miramax and Dimension have specifically requested region coding as part of their licensing agreement.

I have the canadian blu-ray so I'll wait to see about the Halloweens. But I can't wait for the COTCs or the FDTDs to come out.

I have it. I'll definitely wait and see some reviews first before double dipping on those.

Awwwwwesome. I've never seen COTC 5 & 6, so I can't wait to check those out. Too bad 2-4 aren't being packed together like they are on DVD. These pairings might make me check out some of the other sequels I haven't seen, too. I like this strategy. Here's hoping they at least just get the basics right (16x9, original aspect, progressive, 24P).

Sweet. That's what I wanted to hear. Might have to order Bloodline; maybe even Curse

Just as I feared, it looks like some, if not all of the Echo Bridge Miramax/Dimension BDs are only 2.0

Fuckin' cheap bastards. Just cancelled my orders and will get the Canadian versions of FDTD and the Halloweens.

Same here. I'm glad I grabbed the Alliance Canadian release of From Dusk Till Dawn when I found it at FYE for $8.99 and as much as I absolutely abhor Resurrection with the deepest of passions, I'm going to grab the Canadian Halloween triple pack. The price is worth it for Curse and H2O. I'll be damned if Echo Bridge is getting a dime of my money. I'll just take out Resurrection and put my copy of the H6 Producers cut in its place.

Gonna be kind of hard to do since I believe all three movies are on one disc.
