Oasis is somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me so I will probably upgrade my DVD. I bet that is one title that will end up below $10 soon enough. Zombie Lake I have troubles getting into.

That's funny, "Zombie Lake" is my guilty pleasure while "Oasis" never did much for me. I'll defiantly be picking it up.

Neither of these are worth a Blu-ray purchase for me, but A Virgin Among the Living Dead would be a welcome addition.

I really liked ZOMBIE LAKE. I might have to upgrade if I can find it for $10.

I'll pick up both. Oasis is my favorite of the 2. It would be great if they could track down the alternate cut of Oasis and have it as an extra.

It's more Nazi zombie madness as Redemption Films and Kino Lorber bring Jess Franco's OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES (1981) to blu ray! The Third Reich's secret gold cache becomes Target #1 for a college kid and his idiot friends traveling through the desert. Things go South rapidly once they find it's protected by the undead remains of the SS. Some may argue things go South for the audience even faster. Another odd attempt by Franco as a "mainstream" gun for hire, fans expecting his usual idiosyncrasies may be disappointed, but it's still an entertaining little romp if you set your brain accordingly. Fingers crossed Redemption Films include the alternate Spanish cut!

Proof that the world is indeed about to end, Redemption Films and Kino Lorber bring Jean Rollin's ZOMBIE LAKE (1981) to blu! A gang of green-faced underwater nazi zombies, holdovers from WWII, attack the inhabitants of a small French town along with any skinny-dipping schoolgirl basketball teams that may pass through. It's up to a big city journalist and a little kid (who recognizes her dead dad as one of 'em) to stop the horde. Long a favorite of big box VHS enthusiasts due to its rampant nudity and even more rampant stupidity, it's definitely one of the director's more atypical efforts, but not without its own grubby charm. I can hardly fathom seeing it in hi-def. Naturally, my pre-order's in.
