According to blu-ray.com, yesterday (12/26) was the release date.

If it helps anyone, the store I found it at, it was in a dump bin near the front door cash registers with a bunch of other $5 blu-rays. Most were Mill Creek titles, but there were other company BDs in there as well.

I picked it up at my local Wal-Mart earlier...

Mill Creek did a solid job on this one for a budget title. AVC MPEG-4 encodes, lossless audio, and even optional English subtitles. No extra features, but what can you honestly expect for $5?

Both films look very good in HD, with healthy grain structures. My guess is that Sony most likely prepared the transfers and handed them to Mill Creek.

The disc is "A" region-locked according to AnyDVD HD, and the "A" logo does appear on the back cover.

Both films offer respectable bitrates on a dual-layered disc at 37.3gb in size.

The Walmart I got it from was thirty miles away. I live out in the sticks, so I go to various Walmarts, just depending on what direction I'm heading! At any rate, next time I see some of these, I'll grab a few. May be late next week until I dare step into a Walmart again.

They actually only had two left on the display when I was there, and I picked up the extra one for an Austrian friend on another forum.

They may put out more... I'll check when I go back.

My local store (Westheimer/Hillcroft in Houston, TX) has around 10 copies. I would be willing to pick up a few and ship near cost ($5.40 item/tax + shipping + $1.50 packaging) for some established forum members but I would prefer to trade. Private message me if interested. It's EASILY better. Mill Creek generally does solid jobs on their Blu-ray transfers...unlike Echo Bridge.
