Happy Birthday to Me/When a Stranger Calls 1979 blu-ray double feature!!

Those screenshots look mighty fine. I went to Wal-mart but had no luck finding a copy. The only blu-ray bin there had a $7.88 price tag over it, but it did have Once Upon a Time in the West among other titles. The only other bin was for DVD's, but did have a $5.00 tag overhead, and had some Mill Creek releases. Is this the type of bin people are finding the release in?

I found my copy on cardboard fixture in the back part of the electronics dept with 10 0r so other Mill Creek double features on it. ask somebody who works in that dept. they put those stands up anywhere they can find an empty space in the store.

Ah, OK. I was thinking it was in one of those horrible bins that's not so much fun rummage through. Sadly, I saw no such display.

I checked a second Walmart in my area and found it. Had to do some serious digging into the bottom of the $5 bin, but came up with 2. One for me, and Matt89, PM me and we can work out sending yours.

Someone on blu-ray.com mentioned that this is supposed to have a March release date.

Probably means at least the two of those are going to Walmart exclusives for a little while, I'm guessing, if they're not going to have general copies available in-house until then. (All the other double features were available she thought).

Of course they're on Christmas vacation so she might be off, but we'll see.

I'd almost expect it. Wal-Mart are known to get these types of releases early...and then they come out in a wide release later on. The Lionsgate Multi-pack DVD's with Blood Diner, Ghoulies 3, CHUD II, etc.. come to mind.

So some stores have them in a display case and others dump them into bins? That's walmart I guess. The bin has DVD's and Blu-ray's in them, right?

yeah i was gonna mention that. there were 3 of these on ebay last night. 2 were buy it nows for 35$ and now all of those ones are gone. ebay may have kicked them off..

then why arent they on ther eanymore. unless they got bought right away.. who knows. but most wal marts arent even carry this blu ray. its all luck of the draw..

I just watched When A Stranger Calls and it looks quite good. This is definitely the best the film has looked on home video. A very solid picture. If it was just this movie alone it would be worth $5. I enjoy both films and look forward to watching Happy Birthday To Me as well.

Kind of shocked I found this today right on top of the bin. I tried to grab an extra or two to help out others but only found the one. Looking forward to watching these tonight!
