Manos.... in HD?
Now here's something really cool to have stumbled upon - the 16mm workprint of Manos!
http://www.manosinhd.com I hope he gets the funds to complete this, as I'd gladly place an order for a limited edition Blu-ray of Manos: The Hands of Fate!

That is awesome!!! I will definitely purchase a blu-ray of that. Those screen shots from the workprint look amazing (compared to the generated copies of past releases).

This is fantastic news. I absolutely adore MANOS. I was introduced to it through MST3K, but I've really only seen that version twice. On the other hand, I've seen the full, non-MST3K version of the movie at least 50+ times in my life. Something about it just keeps me enthralled, it's got such a beautifully weird and absurd energy to it.
Those screencaps show an amazing improvement. All the previous DVD and VHS releases of this seem to have been struck from the same ruddy video master. I never even imagined that something like this workprint could have even survived. |

The movie is complete shit, but I would watch it in HD at least once.
