Grindhouse Releasing to release The Beyond on Blu-Ray February 2015

We had originally planned to announce this title for December, but our manufacturer was unable to get the special clear cases that we have been using due to high Christmas season demand from their main client Criterion. Now we are being told that the cases will not be in stock until mid-January. Rather than compromise the release and settle for inferior generic cases, we have decided to wait. We hope you agree with the decision.

We are also pleased to announce our Blu-ray release of Lucio Fulci's supernatural masterpiece THE BEYOND, also arriving February 10 in a super-deluxe 3 disc special edition. Both titles will be available for pre-order later this week. Keep an eye on this page for all the details. Here is a peek at the GLOW-IN-THE-DARK cover art.

As much as I love this flick, I'm going to have to see how it compares to the Arrow release before double dipping.

The transfer will outdo Arrow's no doubt, but I got the zavvi exclusive steelbook and it's gorgeous. Also has a shit ton of special features so yeah this will be a tough decision for me as well.

I used to have the old Anchor Bay dvd, so this Blu-ray from Grindhouse is a definite purchase.

I have the Arrow BD but will likely be buying this one too as Grindhouse usually do superb jobs with their titles and Arrows wasn't exactly perfect.

Me too...I'm happy with the Arrow release. I remember the whole monochrome opening issue and getting the replacement disc. What's the 3rd disc gonna be...the soundtrack?

Will certainly pick this up. I've owned the laserdisc and still have it on DVD but would love a nice HD transfer.

Don't forget, and in my opinion even bigger release news (although this is a horror forum I guess), Grindhouse are also releasing MASSACRE MAFIA STYLE on Blu-ray the same day! I've been waiting years and years for that one since I first saw the trailer on the original I Drink Your Blood DVD. Hopefully Gone With the Pope will be announced soon too.

Yeah - sometimes I'm not sure which disc snaps in first.

Looks like it's gonna be a great set. I have Arrow's BD too but will likely be upgrading again based on Grindhouse's track record so far.

Only gripe I have with Grindhouse BDs though is the overlapping cases they've been using for their 2-disc sets. Bit of a pain in the ass trying to get that bottom disc out/in.
