Nice! Hopefully they won't re-release it 6 months later with new features as they did with the DVD though!

Got the DVD with the autographed Langenkamp poster. I'm good.

Excellent doc, but not the kind of thing I'd double dip for.

DVD was fine. Not like it needs a HD upgrade. But if you haven't bought it yet, then definitely jump on it!

I never read anything here that was negative about this doc.

i'm fairly certain you're confusing this with His Name Was Jason, which is pretty much universally unloved. this, on the other hand, i've never heard a word said against. unless it was the whole re-release with a new commentary issue. i swear, if this blu ray has 6 hours of deleted interviews or some such nonsense, i'm going to raise a stink.

I was searching through old threads to try and and see the reaction that extra disc set made on fans that bought the first edition - I couldn't find anything. I'm a little worried about them doing this with their Crystal Lake Memories Documentary, although hopefully the extra bonus disc included when you order from the website would be what would have been released at a later time.

I stopped buying new DVDs and Blu-rays for that same reason. As a big fan of extras (commentary's, deleted scenes, etc.) nothing bugs me more than when a studio releases their movie bare bones, then a disc with some features a couple of months later, then a 3 disc version with everything you could ever want and more a year after that.

If documentaries go that same route that's pretty sad.

I'm also happy with my 2-disc DVD (I actually just watched all of the bonus interviews a couple of nights ago) but, I agree, if you don't already have this then this is a must-buy.

I could have sworn I posted my anger on here. The second version came out within months of the first one. I'll hold off on the blu-ray. I'm sure a second version will come out including interviews with Laurence Fishburne, Patricia Arquette and Johnny Depp.
