Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings

I just posted about this in the October thread, but I'm sure not everyone is checking that out, so I'll put it here too. I had no idea this was being made until seeing a $3 Off coupon for it somewhere. It comes out on the 25th of this month and as you might gather from the title, it's a prequel that ends some time in 2003 before the events of part 1. I just checked it out, I found it to be a lot better than part 3, but then I hated part 3 so I'd probably say that about anything.

The gore effects were mostly much better than part 3 (which had some spectacularly bad CG shots - I think I actually posted on here about that) although the faces of the 8 and 9 year old versions of the mutants were pretty shitty looking, almost paper mache mask looking faces.

The girls were all very attractive, and you see 3 of them naked immediately after the opening sanitorium scene, if you're interested in that. I actually find nudity kind of pointless and boring in non-porn movies, but I think a lot of horror fans want it, so I thought I'd mention it.

Anyway, pretty good suspense at times, pretty good kills (although one goes on for what seems like forever) and several opportunities to yell at the characters for doing really dumb shit. I liked it, not sure it's a multiple replay kind of thing though.

I may netflix this. I absolutely hated the third one and it turned me off from buying another Wrong Turn movie.

I liked the others, but I've never paid more than $3 for one of them, used and that's about what I want to pay for this one!!

I enjoyed the first 2 and like most others, I thought part 3 was real weak. I am looking forward to checking out part 4.

Watched the 4th last night, much better than part 3, but that's not saying to much, some nice physical gore, (some lame CGI also but not to much), but the script is not great, and some of the situations your going to be like 'what are you doing'!!!!

The only thing good about this movie was the end. Fricking laughed my head off. Crappy cgi. Lame characters. It made part 3 look good.

I moderately enjoyed this. I hated the characters but there was enough gore and tension to keep me awake.

I just bought this on Blu-Ray last week, and haven't watched Part 3, yet, but I also purchased the Wrong Turn 3 Movie set at the same time, even though I already own the first one, but didn't have the 2nd or 3rd Wrong Turn movies. Will have to watch it this weekend.

In my opinion, the 1st and the 2nd are very good... the 3rd is the pits... the 4th is bad but still better than the 3rd.

I don't understand all of the hate for the 3rd. I thought the 1st film was great, I found the 2nd nearly unwatchable and felt that the 3rd was fun but flawed.

Love the 1st two flicks and hated the 3rd (lame CGI kills, horrible tacked on ending etc.)

Had a lot of fun with 4. Great kills, lots of nudity, typical slasher character stupidity and a great finale.

Really liked it.

It´s just an opinion... after all, we all love our share of bad movies, and it seems one of your bad movies is "Worng Turn 3"...
