How come and Why did Miramax licensee their movies to echo bridge

Okay if you know me I really like a majority of Miramax era Dimension film(The Prophecy series,Dracula 2000 trilogy,Halloween H20,Halloween Ressurection,Children of the Corn 2-5,Hellraiser 3-7,Faculty,Phantoms,Cursed,Venom,Scary Movie 1-2 & more) and they even have made my favorite film of all time(From Dusk till Dawn). So when I heard news back in early 2011 I was really pissed by Miramax not resecpting the films they have and their fans by licensing huge franchise films(Halloween,Hellraiser & Children of the Corn) & films made by Hollywood's finest directors(Quentin Tarantino,Kevin Smith & The Wayans Brothers) to a company who doesn't have enough money and time to give the films the proper resecpt they deserve. I'm not saying that Echo Bridge is the worst because I have seen quite a few good transfers(Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror & From Dusk till Dawn 3 The Hangmans Daughter). Echo Bridge has released Asylum films & Full Moon movies so that automatically means that their not in qualified hands to touch Miramax films. They have been putting my favorites films in Multiple-feature sets that include (Castle Freak & Subspecies) that is disresecptull. To add insult to injury they had a deal with Lionsgate around the same time why didn't they 100% it with them. Echo Bridge needs to stick with shit like The Howling IV.

Please provide me with your opinions that could provide logic to this travesty to Miramax maybe Disney's to Blame.

simple=money. I think Shout Factory guy said they outbidded him in the deal, so Echo Bridge threw some big money at Miramax.

You already started a thread about Echo Bridge. Please post in there and not start new threads for every little thing.

Edit: for some reason I do not have moderator rights in this particular forum, as I intended to close this thread permanently.

That was discussing what people owned from them. This is a completely different subject.

You would think Shout Factory would've won that deal because they have bigger budget release that have a bigger audience than Echo Bridge does.

Echo Bridge makes millions on those budget packs that you see in WalMart and some stores. No disrespect to Shout, but I believe Echo and mill Creeks makes a lot more money than Shout on a yearly basis, as they dont spend extra money on new transfer, new covers, paying extra producers, paying talent, etc. Mill Creek and Echo Bridge moves units via budget price , more stuff for your money approach.

ThisEvilBastard, do yourself a favor and change your username to "resecpting". At least then you have excuse to write that made up word.

With all the correction going on, this is not lack of attention, it's just plain stupidity.

I think this should be the official spelling on this forum from now on :P Any other spelling should be deemed incorrect and sloppy (just for the record I'm aware that the spelling is an inside joke)
