Apparently Shout Factory are releasing KNIGHTRIDERS this Summer.

Decisions decisions on Knightriders. I have actually preferred Arrow's releases to Shout Factory's in the past and I'm looking to upgrade my Knightriders DVD. Such a great, low-key, underrated film.

One of their latest releases, Zombie, was an excellent transfer with hardly a trace of DNR. So hopefully they've turned a corner on that.

But when it comes to the Bava stuff with the AIP versions there's really no other game in town. Since Kino has already released most, if not all, of them I don't see Kino back tracking on any of that to include the AIP stuff.

Shout has confirmed Knightriders is coming from them stateside so I'll have to wait and see on that. Spider Baby is with Dark Sky so we'll have to wait and see what they're up to.

Apparently they're talking about the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences which premiered their new restoration last September. The response itself is a little confusing as you'd have to do a telecine somewhere down the line. I suspect they're using the same scan Dark Sky used for the 2007 DVD.

Sounds very positive. I'll still wait to see what Shout Factory has in store, but it's nice to know the Arrow import is a worthwhile option, just in case!

How could anyone NOT want Motel Hell on Blu? Well, anyone with a region-free player, that is. This is a must-own release. Just ordered my copy (didn't know it was coming out so soon).

So this is worth seeing? I have never seen Motel Hell so it would be a complete blind buy for me.

The comparison to Shout will probably be more important anyways, so long as they do that. I didn't read the full review but it seems funny that in closing Gary, who said before he isn't a genre fan, seems to be complaining that Romero didn't make a horror film. Old George just can't catch a break anywhere it seems.

I've ordered Motel Hell and Baron Blood when Arrow just had a special for ordering both at once. Can't wait, Motel Hell looks like a winner!

This is very much worth watching, Eddy. If you're a fan of weird 70's exploitation, either a recent convert or long-time fan, you'll dig this movie. Although it's hard to imagine someone being a long-time fan of the genre and never having seen Motel Hell lol.
