The plot is fairly routine, but the direction is pretty good so it is fun and oddly kind of weird to watch. Plus, the cast is great and many went on to have veritable careers, so that is an extra plus. Sadly, my VHS of this died about 3 moves ago. A DVD would be welcomed.

Bill Paxton was in this, too? Wow the guy really got his start in the genre, didn't he! This, "Mortuary" and the made-for-TV thriller with Diane Franklin "Deadly Lessons" in '83.

I remember liking this when I saw it on cable during the early 80s.

I liked this alot. Really great twisted lead performance by Susan Tyrell...and one of the greatest car crash stunt scenes ever in the opening scene!

I was lucky enough to watch it in the theatres a few years ago and I liked it a lot. A DVD release would be fantastic. I also saw this as "Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker"... cool title
![]() There is a strong anti-gay overtone to the film as well that is really funny. I'm not politically correct (but I don't go out of my way to upset people either) so it had me laughing pretty hard. There is quite a bit of gore in this one as well. |

Was this really 1982's Best Horror Film at the Horror/Sci-Fi film awards that year?
Going through my newspaper ads, I have one of this film from the San Francisco Chronicle and it's their big claim. |

Well worth a look, mainly for Susan Tyrell's typically manic, bizarre performance...but why the stupid retitling? BUTCHER, BAKER, NIGHTMARE MAKER is what it was called when it was released to theaters...

"Fear No Evil" completely lost me at
So, IMO "Night Warning" was a much better film. |

I always thought the finale of Night Warning was pretty good.
