Canadian Cannibal Terror Train Connection?

Derek MacKinnon played a serial killer who cut a young victim to pieces in the 1980 film Terror Train, and now he wonders if his former downstairs neighbour, Luka Magnotta, made life imitate art.
I don't buy into the "horror movies make monsters" cliche but it's an interesting coincidence if they lived in the same building.
The Strip is my playground.

Sounds like an out of work actor trying to squeeze out his final 15 minutes.

yeah, you nailed it. "The similarity is pretty significant." jesus christ, beyond the fact that they were both killers (one real, one fake), there's no similarity at all! "The similarities between his film and Magnotta's alleged crimes are too close to be a coincidence" says the writer. what complete horseshit. there are killers in Die Hard as well. perhaps that was the movie that set him off!? or maybe it was Seven Samurai? people got killed in that film too. this is pretty pathetic sensationalism.

This isn't the first time he's brought up this story. I had heard it mentioned a few times before. It might have been in Jamie Lee Curtis: Scream Queen, but I don't remember for sure.
