The Overlook Hotel (The Shining prequel)
Apparently, there is a prequel planned for The Shining: http://www.slashfilm.com/glen-mazzar...verlook-hotel/
I'm not sure how people feel about King's TV version on The Shining but I thought it was terrible so I have no expectations for his sequel. King doesn't seem to be happy about the plans for the prequel but that might not be a bad thing since he hated Kubrick's version and that was a masterpiece. Anyway, it doesn't mean anything but I am a little curious about it.

It's important to determine what the film is a prequel to. Stanley Kubrick's Shining or Stephen King's Shining. I never cared for the miniseries, but I think the actor's were limited in their ability to sell the story. This is all my opinion of course.
