Wow. Just...wow. They never cease to amaze me with their Ed Wood spirit of filmmaking.

I feel worse for John Heard. He's actually a good actor.

What's up with the huge killer shark craze of the past several years?

With so much hype I was actually expecting the film to be worse.

Things I learned from Sharknado:

Spoiler:
  • You can dissipate an EF-4 tornado by dropping a bomb made from a blowtorch tank and a highway flare into it from a helicopter.

  • When a shark falls from a thousand feet in the air onto pavement, not only will it survive it will be hungry and rush toward the nearest humans and attempt to eat them.

  • Sharks can survive not only on pavement but also in chlorine.

  • Tough as sharks are, a single shot from a short-barreled revolver will kill any shark.

  • Nothing can knock out electric power in Southern California.

  • Severe shark bites can be cleaned and dressed by a lifeguard, allowing the victim to resume normal activities within the commercial break.

  • LA drivers are so blasť that when a Ferris wheel rolls across a highway and smashes into a building in front of them they will continue to drive normally on the street below the wreckage.

  • Sometimes things happen for no reason whatsoever.

Yeah, me too. It's not a good movie by any means, but it's actually decent apart from the terrible CGI. Certainly not enough of a trainwreck to be hilarious like something like Birdemic.

I'm also confused as to why this movie got so much attention, they've been putting these goofy CGI pieces of crap for like a decade. Did everyone just now get SyFy?
