Wow glad I own the blu-ray. This one's a gorefest. Also def one of the best 80s slashers.

I think Warner have been retarded for a while now. Don't they have some stupid policy now about not releasing unrated versions?

...and the damn bastards continue to rape Smurfs too!

hmm, but surely they wont put cut version of Friday the 13th (1980) in the box set when they've already released it uncut as a singular release?

It's rumoured they will, but we shall wait and see. There's a good chance Jason Goes to Hell will only be the R rated cut.

They are releasing Texas Chainsaw: The Beginning on Blu in Sept. and it only contains the R rated cut.

i do recall them making some announcement about no more unrated releases, but what did twilight have to do with that?

i picked up the dvd the day it was released. never felt the need to upgrade, though. i'm quite content with the dvd. the whole "no unrated releases" business is pretty inexplicable, though. who's making these decisions? the reincarnation of Joseph Breen?

The blu-ray of My Bloody Valentine does have truly amazing image quality. It's one of the best transfers I've seen of an '80s slasher.

I don't get this new policy WB? What does it ultimately achieve besides pissing off us horror fans and them losing sales?
I fail to understand why they'd do such a thing in this day and age as they're basically promoting pirating. Stupid, stupid, stupid...

This almost seems too good to be true. Hopefully it's not some sort of faulty product listing.

Ordered anyways...thanks, man!

I've ordered quite a few "out of print" releases on Wal-Mart's website before, and they always came through with shipping them.

I picked up the Beyond the Darkness (Buio Omega) Blu-ray/DVD Combo just a couple weeks ago actually...which has gone OOP. Apparently I grabbed the last one of that though, since it changed to "out of stock" immediately after.

I'm afraid i can't remember where i read it, but firstly they had a company that was part of warner selling hard core porn which warner knew nothing about which brought bad word of mouth to the brand, then it was noted that because Twilight was such a big hit, Warner were concerned that Twilight fans would look to other horror franchises expecting the same kind of tame crap and have their minds blown by unrated material, due to this and not wanting anymore bad publicity they stopped the unrated releases.
