Man, it feels like an eternity since this was rumored to be.

I was hoping for a one two punch with The Brood released at the same time but I ain't complaining.
The combined weight of the horrors I have authored wrought would crush your carbon hearts into perfect diamonds of terror!

Dang. I already went Region B for this title, so I was waiting patiently for THE BROOD. I'm pretty happy with my Second Sight tin for now.

I'm excited to pick this up, but considering how long this has been rumored, and how long we've been waiting, I can't help but be a little underwhelmed. The only supplemental content featuring Cronenberg is an excerpt from a 1981 interview?

Does Criterion have the rights to Rabid and Shivers as well?

The release date is just in time for Barnes & Noble's July 50% off Criterion sale. Can't wait!

Hopefully! I'm pre-ordering (along with Insomnia) at Amazon though... just to be safe.

That coverart looks quite awesome.

I have the Second Sight tin as well and I am completely satisfied with that. This looks to be a great release though.

About time. I'm keeping my DVD of The Brood, until it comes out on Blu-Ray, if ever. Will be purchasing this on July 15th. Already own the Scanners 2/3 Double Feature from Scream Factory.
Why have you disturbed our sleep? Awaken us from our ancient slumber? You will die! Like the others before you. One by one we will take you.

I know a good hangover remedy, a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.

RIP: John Winchester, all us Supernatural fans will miss you.

Probably one of the most "meh" releases I've seen in a while. Second Sight released an excellent steelbook with a great transfer ages ago. I managed to buy the Aussie release for $10 which as far as I know uses the same transfer. What's the incentive here to double dip? A label name?

That cover is terrible. It reminds me of Little Monsters, not Scanners.

Anyway, Shivers needs the next release more than The Brood. Though, I'll gladly plonk down money for a Rabid Criterion. Which will NEVER EVER EVER HAPPEN. Mark my words.
