THE WEDDING SINGER. I loved Sandler on SNL but I cannot understand why people still shovel millions at him.
As far as the other posts, I'm a little shocked. BATMAN is really quite terrible.

Judging by this MB - Bloody Birthday. It's not inept by any means (hello, Unhinged), but it is the most illogically stupid horror film I've ever laid eyes on. I don't expect much as a horror fan, but I expect a little more than that film offers up. (And by that same token I extend that same stupidity to Children of the Corn.)
There's plenty OTOH, that I've never seen, and probably never will. Fight Club and The Matrix films come to mind, for a start. And T2. I'm sure it's explained somewhere, but I can't get passed the fact that John Connor is 7 years old in 1991. The Terminator, BTW, is possibly one of my favourite movies of all time!! |

I wouldn't say everyone likes it, but I fucking hate The Blair Witch Project. Biigest pile of overrated shit ever.
Also Firefly & Serenity. I love Sci-fi, but I don't understand the praise for these at all. I also dislike most of the crap Joss Whedon writes.

Oh yeah, Shaun of the Dead... ugh
And I like the Harry Potter films, but Order of the Phoenix being my favorite book turned out to be my least favorite film. I didn't think Deathly Hallows Part I was that special either. |

The foreign trio of Shaun of the Dead, The Descent and Inside. Pure shit, every one of them. Can't forget Poltergeist either. Most recently, Cabin in the Woods left me thoroughly unimpressed.

I worked at a video store on and off during the '90s and would have to say that the majority of movies that the general public loves are just mediocre, manufactured, paint-by-numbers fluff.
Totally agree with many of the movies already mentioned here but it's generally the comedies that people love that just don't work for me. Napoleon Dynamite, The Hangover, anything with Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey. I loved Adam Sandler in Punch Drunk Love and of course any of his fans I tell this to all say the same thing: "That's his WORST movie!" But the biggest one of all for me is probably Casablanca. I don't hate it. I just don't get all the love it seems to get. |

Gladiator - it's not so much that I dislike it, but I find it very long.
The Blair Witch Project, Cloverfield, Paranormal Activity, etc. - I simply don't find found footage shaky cam movies engaging at all. |
