Probably the best film John*hack*Russo ever made..thats not saying much.

It has some decent fx in the begining but thats about it...don't go in expecting buckets of grue. Its also a low budget affair and looks every bit of it...Russo could not direct his way outta a paper bag.If i seem a bit bitter...i am!

Truth be told i really don't remember..Savini does have a pretty prominent role in the film so its possible.I only watched it once (i borrowed it)..and that was awhile ago.I'm sure that someone who owns it could clear that up for ya..

Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread...

I bought the DVD just for the involvement of Tom Savini and also because Shriek Show did a really nice job on the packaging, tricking you to believe itīs a really stylish gorefest.

Actually itīs not, and even Tom Savini in his leadrole cannot save this movie from beeing very boring and downright dull. Itīs only towards the end and the chasing scene where the movie builds up some atmosphere and some well executed gore fx get shown (although itīs laughable how one gun shot to the arm suddenly causes half of the arm to fall off hehe).

But my main question here is, if anybody has been experiencing some defects with the Media Blasters/Shriek Show Disc?

The picture freezes close to 61 minutes into the film and then skips nearly 10 minutes forward. This has been the case on 2 different players I tried.

I know Shriek Show has a history for such defects, but I never found anyone reporting defective "Dark Craving" discs.
