Would prefer to see Hooper direct this, as I thought he did an excellent job with the remake. The cast for the sequel looks good thus far.

The trailer had some good imagery, but I suspect that's mostly the money shots of the film already. Combs looks like he was there just to have Combs there, I know it's a promo but his dialog here is ridiculous. And the end shot of the killer walking along the Hollywood strip is so contrived. I'm not sold here yet.

Thanks for the comment. I didn't even realize there was a teaser trailer up, even though fceurich mentioned it. My bad. Either way, it had the exact opposite effect on me. I thought the teaser did an amazing job to get me pumped for this movie, I'm actually somewhat excited about it now.

It's more a remake in name only, not really anything like the original.

Speaking of the remake,does anyone know of an uncut version? I know the U.S. DVD has the deleted gore as extras,but I'd like the grue to be re-integrated if possible. I have seen a supposed "uncut" version, but am leery.

It appears that all official releases are the R-Rated cut. There were rumors that the UK and German releases might contain the uncut version but turned out not to be true.

Thanks for the info..the German one was the version I read was uncut,so that helps. Once again,Lionsgate fucks us.. Return Of The Living Dead 3,Train,The Hills Run Red,The Toolbox Murders...release movies as they're meant to be seen,or let a company distribute them who will!

The UK version is the uncut version. The United States region 1 dvd is cut.

Lionsgate didn't apparently have the uncut version of ROTLD 3 when they were making the dvd i heard but now since it has shown up on fearnet fully uncut so hopefully down the road we will be getting a new uncut dvd

also hills run red is owned by warner and the fact on that is there is supposed to a new bullshit no unrated policy and warner bros is the reason we didn't get that unrated what is even more strange we didn't even get the so called 10 minutes they cut out on deleted scenes on the dvd the only hope of getting that unrated or having the deleted scenes is probably a blu-ray which i am sure will happen

train i don't really know the store of that one i checked out and thought it was alright nothing great

toolbox murders remake may makes it's way to blu-ray which is really the only way it'll have a chance to be unrated
