I've been waiting to hear an update about this. Still very curious about the film.

Last thing I recall was maybe kind of sort of late July 2013.

I think this is the listing for it:

http://www.amazon.com/BoardingHouse-...=boardinghouse

There's no release date on there yet. Hopefully it's all coming together.

Your not alone, it's one of mine aswell. I worked at a video store back in the mid-90's and took this movie home one night and became oddly fascinated with it. I love me some Boardinghouse.

It captures a place and moment in time 1981 in all it's glory. I wish I could have enjoyed and experienced that era! Do you folks think its a coincidence that actors in the film moved to Hawaii for their health? Several years after the film was shot they saw the writing on the wall and bailed to Hawaii. John Wintergate & Kalassu gave up their dreams of making music and movies. I don't expect anyone to get/understand what I am saying but this movie fascinates me. I really love the Pat Benatar esque band Teeth. When observing the film you can get a taste of what the early 80's were like in Los Angeles. To me in my mind and heart that was the greatest era in music and film making. Hell I know there is a few people on here that will back me up on how awesome the 80's were. Even the women back then looked like human beings! All you dudes get today is a bunch of greedy shallow fake plastic barbie dolls. Imagine some rich film school geek trying to remake this film it wouldn't work now!

Not only were women better looking in the 80's, they were also taller! Look closely at today's woman. They average 5 feet, are rail thin and are as pale as Casper. Miley Cirus may be cute as heck but she still feels like half a person. Look at the women in line at the kiosk behind Nicholas Cage on the beach in VALLEY GIRL. THOSE are women.

Right on Dobby...I couldn't have said it better myself.

The DVD should be up for sale any day now. On the Slasher Video Facebook page, he stated he had approved the disc proofs for pressing...so its coming along.

Just posted on facebook...

Code Red vs. Slasher // Video

He said the director's cut and original version are almost identical in color temperature and quality.

Also mentioned is that the first run is for 200 copies and that he plans tho release it this month.
