I really enjoy this adaptation. The cast and score are truly exceptional. Unfortunately, Universal will probably just churn out the same desaturated, revisionist transfer that's been irritating the living hell out of me for years. If that's the case, I'll stick with my personal "restored" version. I ripped my DVD and re-saturated the colors. The lushness more than compensates for the slight loss of resolution. Badham is Friedkin-level insane for preferring his monochrome abomination. This is a great-looking film in its original incarnation.

If they do this right I'll definitely pick it up. Fingers crossed.
