I'm sorry...

But Silent Hill is one of the most under rated horror films in the last decade in my opinion, does anyone else agree?? And I really wish it would get a proper blu ray release

Where the heck have you been?

I've only watched it once and don't recall being all that excited about it. I do have a copy laying around that perhaps needs revisiting one day.

I agree, although the sequel was pretty bad.
I keep hearing good things about the French BD on blu-ray dot com but haven't gone that route yet myself. I don't think the US BD looks that bad, although I've seen screen compares and the French does look better in those.

Oh my goodness, I forgot to mention the sequel. Whenever I went to the theatre and spent 12$ to see it, it was the biggest disappointment since Scream 4. The ploet just became even more incoherent without any subtext, they killed off all of the good characters, and the whole production in my opinion was rushed looking and cheap. I can't believe I waited 7 years for a damn sequel and that's what they came up with...

Other than the diss of Scream 4 I agree entirely. On first viewing Silent Hill was only okay, but on repeat it has gotten better to the point where I believe that it's one of the better horror offerings from last decade.

I saw the first one in the theaters and it was way too dark to make out many visual details.
