Shame on us the real F13 happened and not a peep!

I'm guilty too. I actually didn't realize it was happening until later on Friday. Any way this past Friday was Friday, June the 13th with a full moon. Aside from the year, those are exactly the same circumstances the original Friday the 13th occurred under. I ended up watching part 1 and 3 to celebrate.

It also reminded me there a TV show and a movie on the way. It would have been really cool had they got their shit together and release one of those on Friday but oh well.

Any one else do anything special? Marathon the films? Sacrifice virgins? Anything?

My wife was born 06/13/1980, so we celebrated her birthday and watched part 1.

I missed the best part - waited all day only to get home from work...and crash until almost midnight.
Still not in the mood to watch my favorites (Parts 1 and 2), I ended up watching "He Knows You're Alone" and "Don't Go in the House" after making a late dinner and opening a bottle of YellowTail red.

I watched a bunch of horror epics starring Helga Line, then I watched Bizarre TV.

Shame on yourselves! I watched 1 & 2 on Friday, 3 & 4 on Saturday, and 6 and 7 last night. Plus, I'm currently reading Making Friday The 13th by David Grove, so I got a couple chapters in this weekend as well.

Everyone should have watched the first film on Friday anyway, since in the film, it's "FRIDAY, JUNE 13 THE PRESENT" and a full moon, all of which were really happening. Probably won't happen again for a long time.

The next Friday the 13th / Full moon occurrence is not expected until 08/13/2049.

This was apparently the first Friday, June 13th / Full moon occurrence since 1919. The next Friday, June 13th / Full moon occurrence is not expected until 06/13/2098.

I was aware of it, and kinda surprised no one mentioned it as well. I saw the original Friday the 13th at a midnight show (35mm, of course!) on Friday June 13th 2008. Although technically that was Saturday the 14th since it was midnight, but still. The whole crowd cheered at the "Friday June 13th - Present" title card.

As for this year, I was a little too busy for movie watching as I had on the Stanley Cup finals which went to double overtime. Then I headed out to a rock-n-roll show. I did put on the original F13 when I got back, which was well after midnight, and I was kinda tooted anyway. Made it about an hour in before nodding off.

I stayed up all night with coffee and watched parts 2 and 3. I enjoyed them immensely. Part 2 still manages to give me a few delicious jolts.

Watched nothing but F13 movies all that week up to and even caught F13: The Orphan so I can't be accused of not getting my ch-ch-hah-hah-hah on.

Meant to watch some Friday flicks, but with my lycanthropy mixed in with that special date... let's just say I had a busy night.

I did do plenty work around the house during the day though.

In my area, the full moon was partially obscured by clouds, which were outlined by the moonlight, just like on the original poster. Very cool.
