Those titles aren't as "recognizable" as you think. Before their release announcement I hadn't heard of any of the titles you listed. RITUALS was every bit the blind buy for me as THE SUCKERS.

Titles being more recognizable to hardcore movie enthusiasts that frequent horror forums doesn't translate into safer releases. One advantage VS's releases might have over Scorpion's is that there is a wealth of lesser horror titles being released while the 70's sleaze market would be near bare without VS.

And to be clear, I'm a fan of all of these publishers and support each of them.

You are both right, I guess I am looking at them as a horror label when they are more of a 70s sleaze label. It sounds as if they do a bang up job with their releases, hopefully they will eventually release something that tickles my fancy.

How far in advance do we usually see Vinegar Syndrome reviews hitting the net? I'm curious about the Punk Vacation disc (eagerly awaiting my pre-order).

Vinegar Syndrome was sending review copies out a couple of weeks early before, but I think I didn't get A Labor of Love until about a week prior to release date. So Punk Vacation reviews should start showing up soon, probably in the next day or two.

Looks like it's now in-stock at ImportCDs. My order from the 10% sale with Cohen & Tate is now fully allocated. Now I've just got to wait for them to ship.

I just received my review copies of Punk Vacation and Vixens of Kung Fu/Oriental Blue. I'll try and get a review up in a few days, but the more official sites out there like Mondo and Drive-In should have reviews up over the weekend.

I received Punk Vacation yesterday. The Blu-ray really looks fantastic, and both it and Nomad Riders are a lot of cheesy fun.
